Tabanlıoğlu Architects is established in 1990 by Murat Tabanlıoğlu and his father Hayati Tabanlıoğlu, and Melkan Gürsel (AIA Int.) joined the group in 1995. Spanning over six decades, the office demonstrates a professionalism based on rigor and know-how.

The practice is currently engaged in major assignments worldwide, having offices in Ankara, Dubai, Doha and London with more than 200 employees. Operating mainly in Turkey, MENA and CIS Countries, Tabanlıoğlu works comprise wide range of building types. The quantity and quality of projects, awards and publications endorse its solvency. Besides several international and national prizes the office ranks 66th in “BD World Architecture” top 100 list of year 2014. Recent projects are Levent Loft & Loft Gardens, Kanyon, Sapphire Tower, Zorlu Center, Istanbul Modern; Doğan Media Center for CNN Türk and Channel D, DMC Ankara, office buildings such as ESAS Aeropark, Zorlu Levent, Selçuk Ecza, One Tower Residence and İncek Loft in Ankara, several ongoing mixed use projects like Yenitepe, Renovia in İstanbul, innovative shopping mall projects E5 Pelican Mall, Marmara Forum and M1 Meydan in İstanbul, Asmaçatı in İzmir, Piazza in Samsun, Bodrum International Airport, industrial buildings like Tunaçelik and Nova factories and renovation projects such as Beyazıt Library, Tarabya Hotel and Atatürk Cultural Center. Beyon Turkey some of their projects are Astana Arena, Astana Media Center and Almaty Fitness Center and Astana Train Station in Kazakhstan, Tripoli Congress Center, Sipopo Congress Center and Dakar Congress Center in Africa, Hotel Rixos Libertas in Dubrovnik, Al-Fattan Crystal Towers in Dubai.
